Star Plattter

$999.00

The Star Platter is a close cousin to the Star Bowl, created through the same centrifugal casting process and then carefully slumped flat to emphasize surface, light, and geometry. Originally cast as a bowl, the form is transformed in the kiln, opening into a broad, horizontal plane that invites both functional use and sculptural presence.

The expansive flat surface reveals the richly textured backside of the glass through its clear crystal face, creating a layered visual depth. Faceted geometry radiates outward in a phyllotaxic spiral, while the chakana stepped cross remains anchored at the center—an ancient symbol of balance and connection between realms. As light moves across the platter, the pattern comes alive, shifting between precision and organic flow. The result is a luminous object that feels simultaneously ceremonial and contemporary, equally at home as a serving piece, centerpiece, or light-catching display.
